Built for the series' 30th anniversary, 1 November 2002 (one retail guide says 2000; Panasonic materials and the anniversary support 2002). The first Technics with digital pitch control, plus blue LED target and pitch lighting, a gloss 'midnight speckle' finish, OFC tonearm wiring and an external brake knob.
Changes from predecessor, vs MK5: digital pitch control (±8/±16 switchable), blue LEDs, upgraded tonearm wiring, brake knob.
