Unveiled at CES on 5 January 2016: 1,200 numbered units marking 50 years of Technics. Identical to the SL-1200G but for the plaque, high-polish magnesium tonearm and tweaked foot damping. Japan's allocation sold out in about 30 minutes.

Changes from predecessor, First new 1200 since 2010. A ground-up audiophile re-engineering, shared with the G.
